In jyotish, each planet is linked to a gemstone (ratna), such as ruby for the Sun, pearl for the Moon and yellow sapphire for Jupiter. A stone is recommended only after studying your chart, because the wrong stone can strengthen the wrong planet.

What a consultation covers

• Study of your kundali to decide whether a gemstone is suitable
• Recommendation of the primary stone and any substitute (uparatna)
• Guidance on weight (ratti or carat), metal and the finger to wear it on
• The right day, time and mantra for wearing the stone
• Checking a stone you already wear or plan to buy
